If you would like to pursue teeth alignment, but the idea of traditional dental wire causes you to hesitate, ClearCorrect is the treatment for you!
ClearCorrect is a hassle-free aligner that is comfortable, removable and nearly invisible. Commonly known as “invisible braces”, ClearCorrect offers a transparent method for discrete alignment. Because the aligner is removable, you will not be required to change your diet as you can easily remove the aligners to eat and will also be able to clean it thoroughly, unlike traditional braces.
With ClearCorrect, your 360° dentist can straighten your teeth with a series of clear removable aligners. Each aligner is custom made to fit your teeth perfectly, performing the same gradual readjustment of your teeth, slowly moving the teeth little by little to eventually achieve the perfect smile.
The Procedure
Our dentist will take the initial series of x-rays of your teeth, photos and impressions or scans of your teeth to have a deeper understanding of your tooth movement patterns. From the collected data, the information will be sent to the laboratory to have a 3D model of your mouth produced. From this model, a series of clear plastic aligners are then produced, custom-fitted for your teeth.
The ClearCorrect treatment involves four phases of aligner therapy, each phase requiring a new set of aligners to be worn for around a three-week period. During these three-or-so weeks, each phase will allow a selection of teeth to be exposed to a new pressure gradually moving them into alignment. As the aligners are replaced after every visit, your progress will be monitored.
Caring for clear braces
Like traditional braces, it is important you take more time and effort to maintain good oral health while wearing clear braces. Because the aligners are made of plastic resin, heat can distort and damage them. Hence, it is a good idea to practice removing the aligners before consumption of food and drinks.
Aligners are also custom-made to fit your teeth and with consumption of food and sugars the applied pressure will contribute to plaque and tooth decay. Therefore, it is important to realise although you are required to wear the aligners as much as possible, wearing them while eating may do more damage than help to your teeth.
Practice cleaning the aligner trays regularly. Because the clear braces remain in your mouth for long periods of time, it is important to clean them regularly to remove the bacteria and plaque deposits. A cleaning kit is offered for a good clean and cases are provided for you to put your aligners in when they need to be removed.
